Join the Nerdy Girls for a Free Comic Book Day store crawl. Free Comic Book Day is a growing geek holiday, traditionally the first Saturday in May. (http://www.freecomicbookday.com) The comics really are free, and the event's purpose is to promote graphic novels, comics, the stores that sell them, reading and literacy.
We will meet at 10:30 a.m. at New World Comics and Games (6219 N Meridian Avenue -- just south of NW 63rd Street, west side of street -- www.newworldcomics.net)
Next we will head to Second Chance Books, which is a used and new bookstore, which also offers comics and manga. (3909 N MacArthur Blvd -- at NW 39th Street, southwest corner -- www.second-chance-books.com)
Then we will eat lunch at Cajun King (which has nothing to do with comics, but the food is awesome) -- 5816 NW 63rd St., east of MacArthur, south side of street -- www.cajunkingokc.com
Feel free to cosplay, or not; wear your geekiest T-shirts, or not.
If you would like to skip the comics and head straight to Second Chance, that is cool, too, or if you want to just eat out, Cajun King is worth it.
