What does it take to go out there and ask the crowd for something? Whether it is money, support or taking action, crowdsourcing is a powerful way to connect with people.
Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand ran a successful crowd funding appeal late last year. They reached their fundraising goal and got some good publicity by reaching out to their networks. Using the PledgeMe platform all the nuts 'n bolts of asking, acknowledging and collecting donations are looked after for you.
At this presentation we'll learn some tips about what it takes to successfully raise funds, and get an update on Creative Commons.
We're running this topic after requests to learn more about it at the last networking session. Do you have suggestions of other things you'd like to learn about at a NetSquared Wellington event, send me a quick note.
