A very social, cool little capital talk: #net2welly Social Media Sept (2 of 3)

What it takes to keep Wellington at the cutting edge of all things Digital will be revealed by Positively Wellington Tourism's Digital Marketing Manager Helen Player.

Helen will take us through the highs and lows of Social Media for our coolest little capital. She knows how social needs to fit in with the rest of what is happening, when it needs to drive the message and when it can support. And she will give you her top 5 tips if you are starting out or still finding your feet.

See: www.wellingtonnz.com, plus our coolest little capital Facebook page, YouTube channel, Twitter account, and Pinterest board.

#net2welly Social Media September

This talk is part of a series of events held across the NetSquared global network during September with a focus on the theme Social Media for Social Good.

In our very own Wellington this is also what's on:

• Going green with social media talk by Megan Hubscher, Sustainability Trust, 12.30pm Wednesday 25 September

• Global tweet chat: a series of one-hour tweet confabs, anyone can join in. Over 24 hours on midday to midnight 18 September. Tweetchat schedule

PS we want to hear from community groups, NGOs and other good causes about plans for social media surgeries later in 2013.

I'm confused about the location. Plimmer Tower is not at cnr Boulcott & Willis Streets, as far as I know. Could you clarify?

You're right: it's not on Boulcott & Will Streets corner - access is off Gilmour St or steps from Lambton quay. I've update the address and emailed everyone about this. Apologies for potential confusion.
