Train Management (intermediate):
To follow up on our previous presentation we want to share a technique reducing the need for lightweight transactions and still achieve consistency, by using a train management analogy.
Be sure to come straight from the office, as food/beverage will be served.
We hope you can join us!

Chief Evangelist for Apache Cassandra
Patrick McFadin is regarded as one of the foremost experts of Apache Cassandra and data modeling techniques. As the Chief Evangelist for Apache Cassandra and consultant for DataStax, he has helped build some of the largest deployments in the world. Previous to DataStax, he was Chief Architect at Hobsons, an education services company. There, he spoke often on Web Application design and performance.
Developer with over 10 years of experience focussed on Tibco products and SQL databases. In the past six months I have been really submerged in NoSQL (ie C*) and other products. Not an easy switch but definitely worth it!
Going from Project Manager via Tibco developer to C*/Java developer it has been a very interesting journey and I like to think I learned a lot. Looking forward to meet-up with the Cassandra experts to exchange actions and thoughts.
