Would like to be involved in finding how to best approach starting my own Independent Engineering Consulting Company. Would consider networking as a factor.
For now I probably need the PE license to establish or call myself a Professional Engineer. Not sure if this is needed for independent consulting in the Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering field. There isn't a PE test discipline for Aerospace Engineers.
I'm a Engineer with strong career interest in designing high speed trains (TGV, Acela etc), LRV and research on MAGLEV Technology. Would have the same AERO background for small corporate aircraft as well. Would consider independent consultaing (National and International), in these areas. Other related topics includes Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Engineering modeling of complex systems and high speed computations.
Just give advice on how to get started in Engineering Consulting and how to market myself to companies like, Bombardier, Alstom, Siemens and Boeing.
