This group is for the unemployed, underemployed, those who want to change the direction of their career or would like to find some great employees!
I moved to Portland recently and, like so many others, have found it difficult not only to find work but to network for jobs. There are networking groups in Portland, however, they are designed for entrepreneurs focusing on leads and growing their businesses. I wanted to start one that would be open to people from all walks of life who are seeking employment. Though we may not be employed in our field, we may know of an opening in someone else's and offer suggestions. I welcome any entrepreneurs or employers out there who are looking for quality employees to join as well! I'd like to start out coming together to get to know one another and in the future offer Meetups to discuss various aspects of our lives that have been affected due to unemployment or underemployment. We could possibly bring speakers in to discuss topics such as money, changing life values and learning to live more simply. I am open to any ideas! Come join us and get connected!
