How long has your hair been natural?

Wearing my hair in its naturally textured state has never really been an issue for me. I can't say, however that it wasn't an issue for my Parents and on my job back in 68, when I decided no more straightening combs for me. I changed my mind in '70 when my new boyfriend paid for me to get my first perm. When I quit him, I quit the perm to. over 30 years. I stopped having my hair straightened with a hot comb when I was 15yrs old. I been natural off and on for 35-40 years.

What are your natural hair challenges?

Embracing my season in life. Watching my hair turn gray has been a challenge.

What do you love most about your natural hair?

Its feel, its look, style and its fit for me.

How long have you lived in Baltimore?

I don't live in Baltimore. I live and work in Temple Hills, MD.

What Marci W. is saying about this Meetup Group

Sorry it took me so long to figure out how to join. LaRetta, has it going on. Madam Walkers Braidery fully supports the group and I would count is as an honor to be a part of. May I say that 'More Hair' has agreed to be a presenter and have her models on the runway at the SIAF Black Tie Affair. see
