The Hidden Feelings of Parenting : Discipline

Having a baby is a joyful and moving experience for parents as it brings a new addition to their family...but for many there are other feelings, including feelings of sadness, pain, guilt, anger, and shame. Come join this group where you can process and let go of the painful feelings surrounding your baby's birth.

This group offers a safe, supportive environment to acknowledge feelings associated with your baby's birth as well as repattern beliefs and traumas so that you can feel happier and more confident as a parent.

This gentle process helps to move you through the stuck places from your baby's birth. It is different from traditional talk therapy in that we are able to pinpoint the exact things that are bothering you. We don't waste time on non-essentials. The group session helps move you out of the bad feelings and helps you to let go of the bad memories.

This session opens with comments on what is happening with the group members. You bring up feelings or situations that are bothering you and we include them into a Resonance Repatterning session that will help you to process bad feelings and situations in an easy and gentle way.

What is a Repatterning?

A repatterning is when we take something that is bothering you and do some specific exercises so that you can let it go. A repatterning also gives you perspective on where the problem came from, why you have the problem and what you need to do to stop having the problem.

Once you are no longer emotionally entangled (or "resonating") with your problem, either it just goes away or you can easily take the steps needed to resolve it.

But HOW do you do it?

It is like when you tune a guitar. When a guitar is out of tune, all that needs to be done is to turn the pegs a little bit in the exact amount and it will sound good again. When you know how to tune a guitar, it only takes a minute. When you don't know how, you can give up, thinking you will never be able to make it sound good!

When we feel bad, we are feeling waves that are disharmonious. We experience them as anger, jealousy, impatience, and sadness. We can get stuck in these repetitive waves, thinking we will never be able to feel good again. Of course that's not true. Often something will happen and we will start to feel better.

Resonance Repatterning is a way to consciously make that shift instead of hoping it will happen. During the group session, we use applied kiniesiology to zero in on the particular wave that is causing the problem. By using 1 or 2 specific exercises, (and we have hundreds to choose from) we can shift that non-coherent wave into a harmonious wave (or pattern.)

Repatterning is precise and efficient. Problems start to make sense to you as we move through the session. You learn how various beliefs and events in your life are directly related and may even be the root of your current problem...and, of course, you get those old events and beliefs repatterned so they don't affect you anymore.

More important than efficiency, though, is the heart connection we bring to each session. You are shifting with love, support and guidance. With each session, you become more intuitive, understanding, and compassionate. You feel more confident and happy as a parent. You are able to let go of the bad memories and live more easily in the present.

Please join us in 2012 for a monthly group led by Donna Bruschi- a skilled Resonance Repatterning practitioner who specializes in parenting. Donna is the mother of three, including twins. She is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant and owner of New Baby New Paltz.
