Needs a date
Two years ago, at the age of 40 I was diagnosed with a lemon sized brain tumor stuck to my brain stem. It was benign, but it was still threatening my life. I underwent an 18 hour surgery and radiation treatment, a chunk of tumor still resides in my brain, and although it has changed my life, I refuse to let it rule me!
I was scared when I was diagnosed, but was lucky enough to meet someone that had been through the same thing. A year after surgery I met another survivor and we swapped stories and became good friends.
I want to reach out to others that have faced the same scary diagnosis, maybe by creating a support network we can help each other.
If you just received your diagnosis, if you are recovering from surgery, or if you were told surgery is not an option, we can share our stories and experiences. No-one truly understands us like other survivors.
