Kayaking & Picnic

 Kayaking & Picnic Sunday, Aug. 18th., 11 am.  Edgewater Kayak, 35 Edgewater Dr. Hooksett, NH.Host: Steve Ob1. [masked] [masked]  RAIN will cancel this event.  Have you wanted to try kayaking? Then join us. Bring your friends, your kids, and your, lunch & drinks to Edgwater kayak. Bring your own boat $5. parking fee, or rent a boats with no parking fee for $5/hr CASH ONLY. PFD or life vests and a paddle, will be supplied with the rental boats. Dogs need their own PFD, please. We will pay $15. for 3 hours and then paddle ourselves up the Merrimack river to memorial field and stop to have lunch and a short break. Pack your lunch & drinks in a small waterproof bag as it has to fit in the boat with you. Also bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Plus, if you wear glasses? Have a strap the holds your glasses on or around your neck.

Looking for volunteers to help people get in and out of their boats. Also, to give a little help where and when people need it. Please let Steve Ob1. know you wish to help. Thanks you.

We plan to try to push off up river at 11:30 am..  If you are late? We will see. If someone will stay back and wait for you? IF not, you will be on your own to paddle up to us. But, we will meet you up river.
Rentals are only single seat kayaks for $5. an hour. All come with paddles and life vest. PLEASE WEAR YOUR VEST ON THIS TRIP. Steve Ob1 or another volunteer will give a short paddle lesson to those who need it. Please let us know you need a class before getting into the kayak.

PARKING:  Park your car facing in the direction of the water and on the grass. We need all the space we can get for parking. Try to park as close as you can to make room for other cars. You will pay Steve Ob1. before you get your boat and vest. Then set your things up in our boats.We will wait in or by the waters edge. Before we go up river around 11:30. Please, CASH ONLY!

BRING YOUR OWN BOAT: There is a small parking fee of $5. Renters are free parking. There is a small store about a mile from edgwater drive ( Robies, at the lights) if you need water or lunch to bring. Not sure if it will be open.

I will be keeping track of YES RSVP"S. So, we can let Rob know how many boats how we need. Please plan to arrive on time or early. So we can set you up in a boat and vest.
