About the Lowell Winterfest
Families from around New England can celebrate the wonders of winter at Lowell’s 14th Annual Winterfest Celebration. Festivities include live entertainment, arts & crafts, kids activities, outdoor ice skating, soup bowl competition and the crowd favorite – the National Human Dogsled Championship.
Schedule of Events:
Friday, February 21
6 PM - 8 PM | Lowla-palooza Kids' Party
Moms, dads and kids are welcome to warm up with face painting, balloon animals, a special Lowla Bear temporary tattoo station, and LIVE entertainment!
6 PM - 9 PM | Hot Roasted Marshmallows
Sponsored by the Lowell Rotary Club. Location: Arcand Drive
6 PM - 8 PM | DIY Snowman Building
Have fun building your own snowman, either alone or with others! Snow piles will be located at City Hall Plaza.
6 PM | 2013 Lowell WinterFest Opening Ceremonies
Kick off the 14th Annual Lowell WinterFest at the Human Dogsled Track! The Human Dogsled Competition will immediately follow so stay and cheer on your favorite team!
6 PM | National Human Dogsled Competition - Preliminaries & Costume Contest
Sponsored by Trinity EMS. (Starts immediately after Opening Ceremonies). The long awaited competition has arrived! See a human spectacle like you've never seen before and don't miss the Awards Ceremony for Best Costume immediately following this preliminary heat!Team Registration is STILL OPEN -- click hereto register your team!
7 PM - 10 PM | 3rd Annual Microbrew Showcase & Competition
Taste an amazing array of one-of-a-kind brews and enjoy live musical performances in conjunction with the New England Music Awards (NEMA)! Admission: $20/per person, 21+ only. Location: Club Celsius Heated Tent, Arcand Drive
