Layout changes at Killarneys

A couple of years ago, corporate Holiday Inn decided to remove pool tables from the dining area.  Just weren't making enough money vs paying for rental of the tables.

Now, even though Boston Billiards itself is reducing the number of pool tables (in lieu of ping pong and foosball tables), corporate Holiday Inn seems to think that suddenly pool tables will MAKE money.

So the 2 pool tables are BACK, right in the center of where we usually play games!

Paul and the management were pissed, especially since they arrived far earlier than they were told.  They had to scramble to get the things in and few people are playing them.  But they didn't have a choice.

So we've got to adapt a bit.

Paul and I were looking at the setup and realized that the booths on the left were our best bet.  Lots of seating and we can put chairs around them too.  He's going to double the tables at the 3 center booths so we have 'big' tables to use for games.  And he'll clear them of place settings.  The 2 end booths don't lend themselves to doubling the tables, but are still bigger than the smaller upper tables. (Paul needs to get by the table nearest the kitchen, so he can't double that.

He'll put the place settings on the upper tables around the pool tables for guests to eat at and the table nearest the buffet.  We can use the booths and the table nearest the booths and the BIG table for games.  Paul will setup the 'game display table' in front of the fireplace, so its closer to us gaming, though I thought we could just as easily put the games on the fireplace itself.

The only real problem will be with the 'big yelling game' near the end of the night.  Not sure what to do there.  We could probably sit around the pool tables, but we'll have to figure that.

Sorry I forgot to send this sooner.  Paul told me on Thursday and I totally forgot, with my own probs.  Thank god Mary reminded me of it today! :-)
