About the $2 mandatory tip ...

First, let me say Paul does a lot of work getting ready a place for us every Monday. Then during the night, he does a lot of work bringing food, drinks and waters. Then after we leave, he does a lot of work cleaning up after us. Clearly, you are getting at least $2 of service regardless if you buy anything or not. There is a $2 tip. If you already buy something and tip at least two dollars, you are already good. Otherwise, if you enjoy using this space, you need to dig deep and come up with $2.

Normally, the Holiday Inn charges $200 a night for the room we are in. If the management decides to charge us a rental fee, we will not be staying here anymore, because I don't intend to get into the business of having to raise a rental fee every week.

You can justify it as helping out Paul for all the hard work he does for us or you can justify as a cost of staying in this location. If you want to stay in this location, please make it happen by donating $2.
