I am a very experienced hiker with 28 years of backpacking and hiking experience. The hardest hike I ever did was the Mahoosuc notch and the Mahoosuc Arm. It was a pretty rugged trip, but also one of the most rewarding.
My greatest trail adventure was hiking the Pemigewesset Wilderness in NH for 5 days alone. It was my first solo hike. I would say it was also my greatest challenge because I never did an overnight by myself, although I've hiked alone many times. It was a wonderful experience and not at all scary, as I thought it would be. I stealth camped the whole way and totally enjoyed the solitude. I met many wonderful people along the way.
I hike all seasons and have gear for all weather conditions. The only thing I don't own is an ice pick and crampons, I use Microspikes.
I have done the NH 4000'. I never set out to hike with a goal of bagging peaks, it just happened after so many years of hiking.
I hike mostly weekends, but during the summer I like taking week long trips.
Hi, I am an avid hiker and have hiked extensively throughout NH and ME. I am the organizer of the Meetup, Hiking Adventures for women an I'm always looking for opportunities to meet other people who share my passion for the outdoors.
