What is your hiking experience ? Would you rate yourself as beginner/intermediate, moderate, experienced? pace is slow, average, or fast? Your hardest hike was....? Have you ever organized or lead a group hike?

I can pretty much go up, down, and across anything and maintain and average pace of about 2.0 MPH. While I enjoy hiking on the trails I don't mind a good bushwhack. I have all of the necessary clothing and gear to hike and backpack year-round.

What is your favorite trail adventure experience and greatest challenge?

Isolation via Rocky Branch Trail. Two failed attempts to reach the peak - both attempts were foiled by snow-covered trails and raging rivers. Finally got to the top in the summer on Friday the 13th. Then returned in winter when the wind chill was minus 50 at the summit.

Do you hike all seasons ? What gear do you own and know how to use?

I have all of the necessary clothing and gear to hike and backpack year-round.

Do you have a hiking goal, such as reaching all NH 4000ft peaks? NE100 highest?

In 2011 looking to finish the Winter 48 (23/48), New England 100 Highest (95/100), Northeast 115 (114/115), & put a serious dent in the Catskill 35 (1/35). Also looking for top three finishes in the Great Race, Josh Billings, & Greenway Challenge.

What days of the week do you like to hike ?

Weekends mostly, but can sneak away for a weekday hike every now and then.

Have been hiking throughout the Northeast for a few years now and have summited all of the 4,000 footers at least once. While I will return to the same peak every now and then I would rather explore a mountain that I have never climbed before.
