By now, I'd say that I am an experience 4-season hiker. My pace is probably average. I prefer a steady pace, not running up the mountain. Probably about book time but depends on the terrain. My hardest hike may have been the Wildcats not long after I started hiking 4k's in 2012. I've been an AMC trip leader since 2013 so yes, I organize and lead group hikes.
I really enjoyed backpacking when I did the Bonds & Twins. Greatest challenge - pulling my 5'5 frame up the steep, scrambly Dudley Trail at Katahdin.
Yes, I have all of the gear required for day trips in all seasons. Including crampons, microspikes, and snow shoes.
I finished the NE 67 in July 2014. Slowly working on the winter 48, NE 100 & 52 with a view.
Weekends mostly. In the summer I can do some weekdays, particularly Fridays.
Living in southern Maine. I enjoy playing outdoors: hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming, as well as meeting new people, learning new thing, and challenging myself.
