I've done a fair amount of hiking, including winter, but it's been sporadic. I've taken the spring and winter courses at AMC (in fact twice each). But I still consider myself an intermediate.
Anything with a view. I particularly like winter hiking, too bad we didn't have a winter this year.
I' ve got everything except a sleeping bag under 20 degrees, a winter tent and an ice axe. Next wointer's purchases.
I really don't care about doing all the 4000 footers. I understand some don't even have a view. I want to just have fun. My hiking goals for the suture include Switzerland, Annapurna and Pategonia.
My schedule is flexible, I am self employed, but normally weekend and holidays is better for me.
Avid hiker. Always looking for new hiking opportunities. I love hiking for the exercise, the view, and the great companionship. Hikers are mellow and hiking is a great equalizer. No one is showing off their yacht or BMW. Hikers don't care. @ this.
