Ju Jitsu Houdini ( Intro / Beginners) Ground Edition

Ju Jitsu Houdini (Ground Edition)

With the popularity of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) many people would like to learn Ju Jitsu (for sport or self defense) but find most classes very intimidating.

This is a beginner friendly gathering.
We will be going slowly and learning how to do things correctly.
There will be no randori (rolling, sparring) during the session.

Ju Jitsu Houdini named after the great escape artist covers multiple escapes from the top 12 grappling positions.
Guard (top and bottom), mount (top and bottom), side control (3 variations), 1/2 guard (top and bottom), North South, back pack, back mount

If you are a total newbie or looking to survive against the higher ranks in your class this is very useful information.

This gathering is free of charge.

Bring a notebook, you are going to learn a lot techniques.

We look forward to seeing you there.

It was a good morning. Mild but effective workout and so much more to learn! Nice people to boot.

Thank you to those who turned out today.

As always there is never enough time to teach everything.
I'm happy to to do this topic again someday.
Review what we covered and go over all that we did not get to.

Next Ju Jitsu Houdini will be the standing series.
Escapes from headlocks, bear hugs, Nelsons...
    January 12th ...same time, location.
And once again it will be free.

Seems like such an awesome class. I'm bailing out though because I have a cold and I don't want to be breathing on everybody and potentially get them sick.

    Should we bring a gi?

    December 4, 2012

    • Coach J.

      Hello Brian
      You wont need a gi.
This will be beginner / newbie oriented ( they probably have not purchased a gi).

We will also be doing sport and street variations of the escapes.

      See you Saturday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
