Long time hiker, DH Skier & North Maine Woods nut-case
I am said that many were disappointed in the need to turn around. Hopefully you enjoyed the second hike. See the photos for more extensive narrative. With wind gusts up to 67 mph, it was far more challenging. The group of four, (Lynne, Gerald, Mike and I) stuck quite close to each other, making sound judgement and assessing the need to turn around at any point. If for any reasons conditions warrented or one wanted to turn around, we agreed to stick together. We supported each other, with everyone assisting each other all throughout. We made it to the summit, with blue skies, warm temps and very fasts clouds moving into and around ourselves. This was certainly one of the more memorable hikes in my life. I found a water bottle from one of our car poolers in my trunk. Let me know if it's yours!
