I'm bummed out that I can't go! I love yoga. I'll definitely try to make the next yoga class. :)

Although you don't need to have experience, this practice is best for those who are already physically fit. Some of the things we'll be doing include... sitting cross-legged (either indian-style or half lotus is fine) in meditation for 5-10 minutes, learning to breathe at a slower, deeper rhythm for about a 25 min period while maintaining gentle standing or sitting postures, a half and full bow pose (one hand or both hands grab feet while lying on stomach), shoulder stand, modified headstand, modified neck bridge, 15 sit ups and pushups for muscle toning.

After class at 11:30, there will be time for tea and discussion if you choose to stay.

There is no need to bring a mat because this is a style of Taoist or yin yoga. We'll be doing a lot of floor work so it's actually better to have a blanket because some stretching requires lying face-down on the floor. There is also some rolling involved so a thick blanket is best as the floor has only a very thin carpet. You should wear comfortable clothing, and either go barefoot (or wear socks if you like warmer feet.)

    Hi everyone,

I've had a few questions that i wanted to answer for the group in case other people were wondering about these things...

First, this is a series of classes where each class occurs on Saturday from Jan 11 to Feb 8. There are five classes total.
