Unless some thing big comes up (i.e. a blizzard), AJ intends on doing the winter edition of Flights of Fancy.  (And heck, I'm from upstate NY, so might do it even if there is a Blizzard.)

Event Details:

Register ahead of time online to reserve your spot (Participation is limited to the first 700 people to register with the Study), Click This link and then the Button on the bottom of that page to Register! Please Remember to Register for yourself, a meetup RSVP does not cover this.

On the day, go to "The Study" any time from 4-7 to sign in, pay your $10 event fee, and get a wine glass which is yours to keep.  From there you walk around downtown going from shop to shop on the provided map of particpating stores until 8pm.

Each participating store will pour a wine, and there usually is a discount on purchases made at that store.

At the end of the night you return to the Study for Coffee, Dessert, and a Raffle at 8:30.

NHC's initial Plan:

Get to The Study just before 5:00ish.

Depart for the first stop at 5:10 or however long it takes to get through the sign-in line.  I'll wait near the Doors of the Study until 5:10.  Make certain contact with me if you want to be kept track of with the group.

Plan will be to go to the North-East most shop in the Upper Broadway district first and proceed Southerly, then once finished in the Broadway area travel to the South-West most shop on Chapel or Crown and work our way back N.E. towards The Study.

If you're going to be late or get lost anywhere (including sign-in) then you can try and catch up with us along the path.

The grand prize is a complimentary overnight stay for two at The Study Hotel at Yale. (And last time some one from the group won.)

If anyone would like to lead alternative groups for different start times or paths you're welcome to pitch in and we can add the alternatives here.

The event details list a shuttle between shopping districts.  We'll have to see if that fits best for the group that shows, or if people want to walk and or volunteer drivers.
