SIXTH ANNUAL HAZMAT HASH 2/22-24

Hey all you wankers and sods! I wanted to throw out a special invite to all about the New Haven Hazmat Hash happening next month.

It's the New Haven H3's big yearly event that commemorates this special moment in Hash History. I guess authorities thought anthrax was cheaper than flour?

Myself and some other hashers are on the planning committee this year, and we are working on making this a fun filled debaucherous weekend! So far promises include plenty of beer (duh!), a fun n' lively trail, dinner and perhaps orange food, and a social yet inevitably hazy late night on-after! We're also organizing crash space for those who need it, along with a hangover hash on Sunday.

UPDATE from the GM:

This year’s event features a Friday night prelube pub crawl to get you acquainted with several of New Haven’s sub-prime watering holes on February 22nd. The main event is on Saturday the 23rd at 1PM at O’Tooles Irish Pub, 157 Orange Street, New Haven.

Parking garages are a block away at 54 Meadow St., and 96 Orange St.  There will be an after party at another local establishment with details TBA.

Sunday February 24: Hangover Hash with beer and bloodies at 10:30am, details above!

Trail will be A-A, turkey/eagle split, beer check, 3-5 miles. As with last year, trail will be book-ended by open bar and dinner after circle. We’re even going the extra mile this year to plan an afterparty for those looking to prolong the magic. Finally, Sunday the 24th will feature a Hangover hash with more beer and bloodies.

Preregistration is for Saturday only, all other events are a la carte.  Registration is available through our website, www.newhavenh3.com via PayPal, as is hotel information.  Preregistration without a shirt is $26.50, with is $41.50.  Registration on Saturday the 23rd is $30 and any leftover shirts will be $15.  This year will also feature a ‘color run’ aspect where you can Paint the Townies wearing logo’d HazMat suits!  If you want to get colored, a limited quantity of Hazmat suits will be available for $5 each.

Friday and Sunday are a la carte see details above! Registration is available from the NHH3 website at www.newhavenh3.com, and questions can be sent via the website as well.

Most of our hashes are $5, but HashMat is our largest organized event/run/party/orgy whatever you want to call it. This is to pay for the copious amount of beer and food for our Hashers!

Whats included for 26. What is not. what day?

    January 25, 2013

    • Amanda

The 26 goes towards the main event on Saturday. This pays for unlimited beer (we pool the money together and once its out then the beer flow stops), it also pays for dinner and beer we will have for everyone at our on-in (the end of the run), the money also goes towards paying for beer for beer checks along the run. Normally a run is 5 bucks, but because this is our yearly big event we rent a hall, serve dinner, and have more beer for everyone! Hope you can make it!
