I thought we could meet on the last Sunday of each month at the Union Street Dog Park. I posted a poll for members to provide feedback on the best time to meet.

Skip is in the recovery room from the big doings with the big dogs. He said he needs to bulk up for the next meeting.

It was great meeting everyone! Ollie and I had an absolute blast! I'll post some pictures in the next day or two.

Can't make it today, but hope to make it in the future
We currently attend the Fairfield pug meetup. So glad to have a pug meetup closer to home. Unfortunately, we cannot attend the June 30th meetup but we look forward to meeting everyone next month. Do you have an address for the dog park to use on a GPS? I'm not familiar with New Haven.

Hi Carey! I did a bit of research, and Yelp lists the dog park address as 708 Chapel St., New Haven, CT. There is a Firestone across from the park, and that address is 680 Chapel. The Firestone is at the corner of Chapel and Union Streets, and the dog park is on Union Street on the opposite side of Union. I hope this is helpful!

I was just playing with the map, and I think I've got it. The park is across from 87 Union Street, New Haven, CT.
Thanks for the GPS info. Hope everyone has a fun day tomorrow. We will see you next month.

I wish my mom would have taken us, but we can't do anything over 65 degrees. Milo has very bad breathing problems and really gets overheated. We always went to the one in Cheshire, but it was indoors that made it easy. I hope that the weather, when it gets cooler, we can talk our mom into taking us. We so enjoyed the meets!
Hello, pug people! According to the Weather Channel app on my phone, it looks like it will be around 75 degrees at 11am, and partly cloudy with the potential for storms. I'll continue to keep an eye on the weather. Hopefully we don't get rained out; but if we do, we can reschedule.
For GPS purposes, it looks like the best address to use is 87 Union Street, New Haven, CT. That is the address of the building right across the street from the dog park.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that mother nature will cooperate! Ollie and I are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning! :-)
Hi everyone! Dresden and I will be joining in. Dresden doesn't do well in the heat, so hopefully it will be cool and cloudy:) he's a little shy so he needs a few minutes to come out of his shell, lol. Hope to see you Sunday!
Awesome! I'm hoping for decent weather as well, Ollie is also not a fan of the heat.
Booda will be there with bells on!!!!

This will be Skip's debut on the social scene, but I suspect he will make many friends, both canine and human, as he is quite friendly. We are excited to meet fellow pug people.
Awesome! Looking forward to meeting you and Skip!
Scootaloo and I won't be able to make it--family function this weekend! Totally looking forward to the next one, though! Can't wait to meet all of the puglets and their handlers!
Bummer! Looking forward to seeing you at the next meet up!
I am sorry that I cannot attend. Please keep me on the list for the next meetup!
If I don't make it back from the city in time, I'm going to have my boyfriend stop by with Lily.
Sounds good! I'm sure Ollie will be happy to see Lily.
My friend Chip and I will attend with our two pugs, Mao and Sprout!
Fantastic! Looking forward to meeting you all.
I would love to go but in the small dog area there, no one ever uses it and my pugs don't like the huge dogs coming up to them. Would it be in the small dog area? There is also a lovely park right in Hamden too. Which might be better considering how downtown New Haven and hard to get to for some people. Just a thought. I hope it is shaded, my pugs cannot take the heat at all. I used to go to the one in Cheshire and they had a blast. Thanks for doing this!

Hi there! Thanks for the info. The small side of the New Haven dog park is very shaded and rarely used, which is great because there probably won't be many (if any) other dogs in that area of the park for the meet ups. I actually started this meet up because there are several pugs in the Wooster Square area and wanted a forum to get them together off leash instead of the on the Wooster green. Pugs from anywhere are welcome, of course, and we hope to see at one of our meet ups!
It is nice to see a pug group around here finally. The last one was in fairfield n one is cheshire a long tine ago. Tbey used a in door dog boarding place. We all now that pugs dont do well with heat lpl. I have 3 pugs two fawn n 1 black

I'm hoping for mild weather, my pug is definitely not a fan of high temps.
Hello all! I just found this meetup by chance--I have a 5 month old puppy, she's very well-socialized with other dogs but I just wanted to check with you all if you think she would be a good fit for the group...I know that some older dogs don't have the patience for puppies, and she will try to play!

Hi Amanda! This is a brand new group and we haven't had any meet ups yet. I can say that my 7-year old, Oliver would be perfectly fine with a 5 month old puppy.
Great to hear! I may be able to attend on the 30th--I have a family function that weekend however and the date is still up in the air. Will RSVP once I know for sure!
Awesome! I hope to see you there.
