I was living in my last city for 14 years and the prospect of starting over and meeting new people is a bit daunting, so I really didn't apply myself. Brought a friend from work, but didn't really meet that many new people. However, I take the full blame for not asserting myself more. Will be sure to give the New in Richmond meetup another shot and be more open.
