RNIT is a social group and we do not want our members to feel like they have to abide by a ton of rules and regulations. However, we occasionally kick people out for inappropriate behavior either in our online group or at one of our events. While this is rare and only for violations that we feel are "common sense" to all, we often get push back of "well how was I supposed to know..."
So in an effort to be fair, I have written our general rules and guidelines out for all to see. I encourage you to take a look at them because they list the various reasons why:
- Your comment or discussion post may be deleted
- You may be kicked out of an event or have your RSVP changed
- You may be removed and/or banned from the group.
If we make any significant updates to these rules, I'll be sure to let everyone know.
The rules can be found here: http://www.meetup.com/New-In-Town-Richmond/about/
Please remember that while we strive to be completely fair, the main Organizer / Co-Organizers of this group (Melissa, Erika, Alan, Nancy) always have the indisputable right to remove or ban any member or take any other action they deem necessary and that their word is final (and they do not override each other's decisions, so don't ask).
Now I say all of that, but keep in mind, in general we are very laid back and relaxed in this group and just want everyone to have fun. The rules that have been posted are pretty straight forward, "common sense" things and shouldn't be surprising to anyone.
Thanks and if you have any questions please feel free to email me directly.
