Monica Dolezal http://www.bizstarts.... and Amanda Jones, Business Development Coordinator for Veridian Credit Union http://www.veridiancu... will combine their expertise to present information related to "Where to Find Cash in Your Business" and "Proper Debt Structure for Your Business Needs"

About Monica: My name is Monica Dolezal, the Founder/Owner/and President of BIZSTARTS, LLC since February 2004. I have 30 years of banking experience, of which, over 20 of those years were spent making loans to small businesses and determining the best financial solutions for companies, including start-ups. I have worked with the U.S. Small Business Administration (received SBA Awards) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC); and have been a speaker for the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) at their monthly "How to Start a Business" seminars. I am active in National Association of Women Business Owners, Central Iowa Chapter (www.nawbo-ci.org) and a previous Board member. I have been involved in the past with Targeted Small Business (TSB) programs, Self Employment Loan Program (SELP), Institute for Social and Economic Development (ISED), and have taught classes at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) for the Entrepreneurship Certificate Program for start up companies on how to start a business (business planning), small business marketing, and small business management. I graduated from Iowa State University (ISU) in Ames, IA with a teaching certificate (K-14) and put it to good use by teaching banking classes for several years through the American Institute of Banking (AIB). I am currently active and a Board member of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce (www.uniquelyurbandale.com) Urbandale, IA, recently rated 39th best City to live in.

Thank you so much for bringing such great programs. I RSVP'd to the last Meetup and had a last minute kid issue that kept me from coming. We are gearing up to look for financing, so this is right on time!

    •  Helpful information. Great people to meet. I wish more people were involved in this group.
    •  Excellent information presented in a fun and clear manner. Great time meeting other members.
    •  Both presentations were well done; The first presentor had a real knack to present what can be very complicated principles & thoughts down to a clear set of basics, but she left you wanting to know more because of her style of presentation, background, & apparent wealth of knowledge. The second presenters did a great job as well for a specific product & as you said Kent, I am sure most of us did not know how far credit unions such as Veridan have expanded the scope of their services to include as many as they have for personal as well as small businesses.
