Blues and Wine Festival

This is one of my all time favorite events.

1. A large presence of NJ wineries
2. Live blues music
3. Food trucks
4. Blankets, chairs and sun

If that doesn't sound like "summer" to you, then you've probably been drinking. ;)

This event starts at noon and goes until five.  Tickets are $20. You can buy that at the gate but I HIGHLY suggest you purchase them earlier as the line to get in without tickets is ridiculously long (we're talking hours).

I won't be able to make it until 1:00pm, but will find the group when I arrive. When you get there look for pink flamingos inside the gates. Ask for Carter. (Thanks, Carter!) Keep an eye on the event comments as I will be keeping everyone updated on our location if possible.

You can buy tickets online now, here: https://t1.clicknprint.com/Online/?siteID=545

I wasn't able to meet all of you. I only saw a couple people and they were all busy talking so I didn't want to interrupt them.

I won't get there till about 1. Are we all bringing food to share?

    May 23, 2014

    • carter

Nothing's been formally organized for bringing food, but sometimes we bring snacks (chips, crackers, cheese,..) to share between sampling the wines. Its a personal choice to bring food or not.

I've been to this event a number of times. If you arrive by 11:40am, there probably will not be that long of a line to get your ticket, so it's a great time to arrive. The parking, wine site, place is so organized (based on past events they've run)- Just fyi to those who have not attended this event before.

I'll be there by about 11:30 (dependin on the line to park;) and we'll try to use our folding chairs and blankets to hold a decdnt sizd area.

Our group has 70 attendees, we'll do the best we can.

I just bought my ticket. It is $20 if you buy in advance and $25 at the door. Not to mention that the line is MUCH MUCH faster if you buy in advance. Right now the weather calls for 75 Degrees and 10% chance of rain. You can buy here: https://t1.clicknprint.com/Online/?siteID=545

kHey, You can"t miss the inflated Pink Flamingos! I find they make a distictive meeting point. I usually setup somewhere mid- field (between band side and food side.) See you all there!

Sorry, I have to cancel, I have a cousin's wedding and will be out of town. Have fun!

A favorite event of mine; I haven't missed it the last five years. Its held out in the field of Natirar Park; so bring a hat and maybe sunblock. I suggest a folding chair for when you want a break or stop to eat. No fee to park (unlike When held at Alaire.)

Previously, there been food vendors (such as the Brick Oven pizza truck, a Crepe booth, and various others. So food is available, but you're allowed to bring your own food, water, and non-alcoholic beverages. NOTE: Umbrellas are not allowed (either beach or the chair clip-on ones; but folding chairs with attached shade covers are allowed.) I plan to get there before it starts, and will have some tables to set stuff on and for us to sit around. Look for the inflated Pink Flamingos.

This is definitely a nice event. I'd rather you come with us, but know that the festival also takes place on Saturday as well. We are going on Sunday though because on Saturday we are doing the food truck festival - also awesome!!

This is one of most well-organized and nicest of the wine festivals in the state of NJ as I've been to a number of them. It's a beautiful place too.

I went last year. It is a very nice event and not overly crowded. Also, if you do not want a wine ticket the entrance fee last year was much less. I do not know if the price reduction is at every event but my belief is that it is.
