Hello I am committed meditation practitioner and teacher who leads a variety of classes in NJ and NYC. This is a group for anyone interested in practicing meditation and studying the dharma in community.
Dharma is a sanskrit word that means teaching, truth, path, is-ness

Be in community and get support in establishing a regular practice of meditation.
We practice shamatha/vipashyana(sanskrit) meditation or bare bones mindfulness/awareness. A simple practice of coming back to our basic sanity, inherent wisdom and good health.
Meditation possibilities:
- Wednesday night Fireside Meditation & Bookstudies (weekly)
- Friday night guest teachers covering a variety of aspects on spiritual life/meditation (1-2 per month)
- Sunday morning meditation classes (weekly)
- Meditation retreats
- Private courses for individuals or groups
- Delightful sounds of an old set of Tibetan Singing Bowls used in meditation, concerts and sound therapy sessions
- Mindfulness field trips (beach etc)
- Mindfulness based stress reduction courses

- Resource for meditation materials - get zafus (sitting cushions), hand-made singing bowls, dharma books, incense, referrals for retreats or other practice centers
- Meditation in Action service projects specifically working with meditators in prison
