The first part of the meeting of the New Mexico Cross Country Ski Club (NMCCSC) is a review of the various outing programs; status or trip report for the lessons, bus trips, hut trips, car trips, day trips, etc. - each presented by the volunteers who make them happen. This is followed by refreshments and then a topical presentation. For January it will be a talk by Tom Mayer.
For fifteen years Tom has been mapping and documenting the forest roads and trails of the mountains within a couple of hours of Albuquerque. His presentation will show numerous skiing options in various areas of the state - some he has tested for skiing, some he has not experienced in winter but that should make for a good ski outing. Non-members and future members welcome.
My foot ailments are in retreat so I hope to see you there and back on the snow again also.
