Re: [New-Orleans-Banquets-and-Books] Gathering in March

All good! I'm up for March 8 as well.

As for a book, my suggestion would be Laura Esquirel's Like Water for Chocolate, A novel in Monthly Installments with Recipes, Romances and Home Remedies, 1990. 250 pages.
But as Lorraine mentioned... There are plenty of great books out there.

Hi! Although I have read several of the books I have never attended a meeting. Thursday works for me...I look forward to meeting everyone.

I'm free on Thursdays, and Mexican sounds great! How are you?

Hey gang--
Oh it's been a long, long time, right?  I really miss you all and can't wait to see you again, and to meet our new members.
January has run away and February is fraught with Mardi Gras merriment and traffic complexities.
So, we will meet 7-9pm either Wed March 7 or Thur March 8--let me know if you have a preference.
And as to subject matter--how about Mexican food? There are lots of fantastic books out there, so please let me know if you have a favorite.  It would be great, good fun, to share some delicacies with each other.
Best wishes for all things wonderful--
Lorraine
