This group is for anyone interested in learning French, for all ages, from beginners to advanced levels. The Alliance Française of New Orleans (AFNO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting French language and culture, and to facilitate interaction and understanding between the people of Greater New Orleans and those of French speaking lands through quality education and community involvement. The AFNO offers day, evening, and Saturday classes taught by professionally-trained native-speaking French teachers, as well as a variety of cultural and social events including lectures, film screenings, cooking classes, an annual photo contest and exhibit, and discussion groups. The Alliance Française is the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. There are 1,040 chapters established in 136 countries, including 111 chapters in the US.
