Lobby Day 2009 sponsored by PPLA

Louisiana's 2009 Regular Legislative Session will begin in a few weeks and we need your help to advocate for common-sense policies that WORK to promote healthy women, families, and communities. This year, Represenative Karen Carter Peterson will introduce Contreceptive Equity, a bill that will help ensure that health insurance companies over contraceptives in the same way they do other prescription drugs. Don't miss this important opportunity to join forces with other like-minded supporters to meet your legislators and let them know how important preventative health care is for Louisiana families! Sign up here: (you must let them know directly that you will attend)
http://www.ppaction.o... If access to birth control, comprehensive sex education, and basic preventive reproductive health care is important to you, then tell your legislators that Prevention Works on May 13th! Your participation will ensure that legislators take notice and hear our voices. And, not just our voices, but the voices of women who can’t join us in Baton Rouge, but who rely on Planned Parenthood for basic health care and information. The more advocates we have the more influence we will have, so please encourage a friend or family member to join us for Lobby Day.
