A FEW GOOD MEN, drama, $22

Aaron Sorkin (Moneyball, The Social Network, The West Wing) wrote this captivating courtroom drama which ran for 500 performances on Broadway in 1989 and became an Oscar nominated film in 1992. Originally inspired by true events, this taut, tense thriller erupts when two Marines are accused of the hazing death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay.The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial. “Enormously entertaining.”-N.Y. Daily News “Plenty of wise cracking humor and suspense.“-Time Magazine

A fast moving, intense, emotional play with huge passages of dialogue handled exceptionally well. The cast deserved the ovations they received. It was great having a "night on the town" with the friends I have recently missed a lot. Thank you for your company, and a special thank you to Debbie, for providing door to door very pleasant services.

I almost didn't sign up for this play. What a mistake that would have been. Very well done. I found myself becoming emotionally involved with the characters. Hard to believe this was all done with such minimal props or background.

The time spent with friends make it a perfect outing. Good time in both the car pool and at lunch.

I was amazed at how well this play was able to reflect the intensity and emotion of the content of this story with merely a few chairs and tables on stage. The players brought good performances, some outstanding, with so much dialogue! I enjoyed seeing the segments ebb and flow, change direction, and then come full circle. My pizza disappeared quickly, and I can't believe I ate the whole thing! I loved being part of two carpools as I got to chat with everyone, whose company I very much enjoyed. A wonderful afternoon with NTS friends!
