SHOUT, the Mod Musical $20

SHOUT! is the mod musical magazine that brings back the beautiful birds and smashing sounds that made England swing in the 60's. Created by Phillip George and David Lowenstein, SHOUT! features terrific new arrangements of such classic tunes as "To Sir With Love," "Downtown," "Son of a Preacher Man," and "Goldfinger." Location : Lake Mirror Theatre

Great seats in the center of rows 8 and 9.  We didn't reach the minimum 15 attending for 10% discount so cost will be $20 instead of $18.  Still get to keep those advance purchase seats tho.

We've been to one play at this venue before.  Nice theater on the shores of Lake Mirror  - scenic area.

Yes to car pool - and yes to eat afterwards.  Last time we tried to eat together in Lakeland we got lost!  One carload made it to the restaurant with no problems.  The second car followed the wrong car and drove around in circles before finally arriving at the destination.  The third car was in the right place all along but couldn't find the restaurant, gave up and drove home!  Gotta luv those carpools.  I bought a new Garmin today.  Not getting lost this time by golly!

Carpool leaves Muvico at 12:50.  I've asked that the tickets be mailed to me and I'll distribute them here or meet you at the entrance to the theater near the box office if you're driving separately.

It was a fun day. Really enjoyed SHOUT and the food at Harry's was rivaled only by the conversation..

I had mixed feelings about the show. In the beginning I felt it was very disjointed, and the singers seemed to be shouting the lyrics…made me think of something I might see at Busch Gardens……but then as it progressed it got much better and we became concerned about the "girls". So all in all it was enjoyable.

Dinner at Harrys was excellent. My food was nicely presented and excellent taste. And our waiter did an outstanding job. Dealt with all our little "quirks". I would definitely like to return here and try the dishes other said were delicious.

Really enjoyable show, bringing back a lot of memories of the British invasion of female singers and hits. Humor mixed in made it even more fun. Good talent on the stage and it was obvious that they were enjoying it as much as we were.

All 13 of us then went for dinner to Harry's in beautiful downtown Lakeland. EXCELLENT food and equally EXCELLENT service - one waiter handled it all. Would definitely want to go back there again.
