Frozen Dead Guy Days, Nederland's annual three-day event celebrating the cryogenically frozen man stored in a shed above town, starts up on Friday afternoon.
Characterized by strange activities like the coffin race, polar plunge and "Grandpa's pub crawl," the festival has drawn increasingly larger crowds since it began in 2002.
There are several novelties this year, including a temporary pedestrian mall on First Street, "Sunday family Funday," and the revived tour to visit the Tuff Shed where "Grandpa" Bredo Morstoel -- the Frozen Dead Guy himself -- is stored.
I'm going to take the bus, an alternative is to car pool.
