This Meetup group was created for single people, in their 40's and 50's, living in the northwest section of NJ that would like to find new, fun friends with similar interests. The group will consist of friendly, social male and females that are interesting in ALL types of events: dining out, bowling, house parties, hiking, informal get togethers, kayaking/canoeing, playing pool, going to movies, going to events (shows and concerts) together, plus much more.. Suggestions for new types of Meetups are always welcome.
Anyone who is looking for new friends, is single, and is in the age range mentioned is encouraged to join us.

-A REAL first name on your profile. Please do not post your last name-just use an initial or something similar.
-Courtesy when signing up for events. Do not sign up if you don't plan on going. See "No Show" policy.
-Acknowledgement that you understand that all events you attend at your own risk and not to hold the Organizer, Assistant Organizer, or Event Organizers liable for anything that happens on the way to, during, or when leaving the meetup event. Any accident, theft, injury, illness, relationship breakup, or other event as stated on the Meetup Agreement (shown at http://www.meetup.com ) that may occur is not the fault or responsibility of the Meetup Group, Organizer, and /or members. You assume all risks when attending a Meetup Event.
NO SHOW POLICY: To maintain the quality and enjoyment of events, members who RSVP to events but have ONE (1) unexcused failure to show up at an event will result in removal of membership. Specific factual circumstances will, of course, be considered. Email (to the Organizer) an explanation within 24 hours of missing the event. Please be considerate of other members and do not sign up for an event you do not plan to attend. This is especially important if there is a Waitlist and/or the event involves a third-party (e.g. restaurant, riding stable, sports arena, concert venue, boat ride, etc)
RSVP GUIDELINES: Most of our events will allow you to bring a guest or two. If it is a limited event and the event says no guests, please do not write "+1" in the message section of your RSVP response. If you have signed up for an event and later realize you cannot attend, you must change your RSVP immediately. The No Show Policy applies to ALL events. If you sign up for an event and change your RSVP to a "no" this is not a "No Show". A "No Show" is when you cancel your RSVP within 24 hours of an event's starting time or don't show up to the event at all.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT: Inappropriate conduct, including, without limitation, stalking, inappropriate touching and other such unwanted physical contact, inappropriate emails, texts, telephoning etc. will NOT be tolerated or condoned and will result in the immediate removal from the NYNF Meetup Group. Additionally, "no" means "no" and a member who repeatedly pressures another member for dates, sex, etc. after having been told that his/her attention is unwelcome, will be removed from the membership immediately. All decisions by the Organizer of the NYNF Meetup Group are final and unappealable.
Background / Criminal Checks: Background / criminal checks are NOT performed on ANY group member. We have no information regarding whether a member has a valid driving license or is on the suspended / revoked license list. Please use your own good judgment and discretion when interacting with members within group events, including without limitation, when making arrangements to carpool with members of the NYNF Meetup Group whom you do not know well.
Meetup Group Cost: To "own" a Meetup Group costs approximately $180 a year. This money is paid for by your group Organizer. Any prizes, flowers, gifts etc that are awarded, won, given away at Meetups are paid for BY your group Organizer. Starting in March, 2015, I will be asking for donations to help offset the costs to run this group. You can donate through the link on the Meetup Group Home page. I may also start to charge a small fee ($1 or $2) per person at an event to help offset the Meetup Cost. Any extra money collected will be put into a fund for prizes, flowers, gifts, picnic goods, etc. needed to help run a fun meetup group.
