MET GROTTO cave trip to Pompey's cave

This is a grotto "MEMBERS" trip to Pompey's cave

This is a nice little beginner trip with some fun. There will be some wet walking as this cave has a flowing stream in most of the main passage. There is a cool ladder that we climb down to enter. Entering the cave we will start of to the right and head to the boulder climb that leads to the lake room....

After we will head back past the ladder and head to the left side of the cave and walk to the sky light (Ray of light entering the cave via another entrance)...after a few pictures there we will head towards the breakdown section for a few more pics....Next we will head back to the ladder...some may want to exit via the sky light....We then walk thru the dry stream bed towards the left hi side entrance and head down to the other side of the break down. From here we will have a nice wet 2-3 foot water walk and head up stream. There is a cool crawl on the left side or you can just walk the right side wet walk towards the back. There is a nice climb out to exit in the back of the cave or we can just had back were we came from.

GEAR LIST:

Helmet...Rock Climbing style...

Headlamp...3 lights sources...

Gardening gloves....Latex palm type...

Rubber boots or Old hiking boots...(you will get wet).

Cave suit or coveralls ..(or something that will get wet and dirty).

Wetsuit if you have one...(you may want to jump into the lake room.

Neoprene glove and socks...This will be your best option for warmth.

..........Do to limited parking space I can only take 11 on this trip + myself.

I expect some car pooling if possible.
