Marble Cemetery Tour--Manhattan

I promise that the Sleepy Hollow/Washington Irving house tour will take place in August. We may need drivers from LI/NYC for that but I will definitely have a car. Let me know if you can possibly drive. In the meantime, this is a little get together in an out-of-the-way cemetery which you could easily miss if you didn't know it was there. It is located at 41 and a half Second Avenue and is ONLY open every 4th Sunday so that would mean July 28th from 12-4 (when the cemetery is open). Weather permitting, of course. This is the oldest public non-sectarian cemetery in New York City.

Sorry, not going to make it. Hope Sleepy Hollow happens soon!

There are TWO Marble Cemeteries which makes it confusing, I know. I visited the "other one" two weeks ago but this is the New York MARBLE Cemetery and not the NEW YORK CITY MARBLE Cemetery. It is located at 41 and a half Second Ave. They are close so if anyone gets lost, give me a call (646)[masked]

Sorry, I won't be able to attend after all. The next one, hopefully! Thanks.

If you can make it fine, if not--maybe next month. We are planning to go to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and Washington Irving's home, Sunnyside, in the Tarrytown area.

Maybe! Have always wanted to tour the Marble/s, never seem to get the day off from work to do it! Will confirm as date approaches, if schedule permits I'm in and this would be my first meetup with this group!

I checked the website for the nearby other Marble Cemetery and found out that it is open to the public on Sunday, July 14th. We can go to one or both, whichever is more convenient for everyone. Let me know which date is better since both have limited opening times.
