First there was the NYC Craft Beer Festival last March…

Then, the Brooklyn Waterfront Summer Craft Beer Festival in June. That was a great event as the pictures from our meetup there attest.

Now, we have NYC Craft Beer Festival - WINTER HARVEST - featuring winter seasonal beers, taking place Saturday, November 10th, at Pier 57.
These are some seriously fun events and they plan on having 75 breweries represented and this should be interesting because the focus will be on Limited Edition and Seasonal beers. Please note you need to buy tickets in advance.

I will be signing up for the Session 1 VIP tickets for the afternoon session, which gets you an extra hour of tasting. This is nice because you get to sample before it gets too crowded.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 12th and they have an early bird special where you get $10 off. VIP Tickets are $65 with the early bird special and General Admission tickets are $45 with the special. Not sure how long that lasts so if you think you might want to go, don’t wait too long to buy your tickets.

I attended both prior events and really discovered some terrific beers I would have never tried and/or heard about previously. Please note you need to buy tickets in advance.

I know this is early but these things can sell out so want to make sure we get it on your calendars. This event is Veteran’s Day weekend so just be aware of that. Hope to see you there!

    Okay, gang,

I figured I better post something before my week gets too crazy and I completely forget. I have not been to this event before, so I plan to arrive by noon. I will be wearing my black cap with the Superman logo for those who are new to the group.

If you can't locate us, or are arriving for the general admission, text me at (917)[masked], or post a message here.

Remember, you need to buy your tickets in advance. If you aren't able to make it, please change your RSVP on the event so I don't have to mark you absent and tattle on you to Bill.

    Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'm not able to make it either -- suddenly.
If anyone hasn't purchased a ticket, you can buy mine from me. I paid $45 -- and it's the first session (non VIP)

    Hi everyone,

Just a few reminders for this event. -You should purchase a ticket ahead of time.
-Bring ID showing you're legal age to drink
-Ed will post meeting locations on the meetup app (available for iPhone and Android)
-Ed will send out a message to all attendees with his contact # so you can reach him directly if you can't find us at the event

As mentioned before, I regrettably cannot attend, but hope to experience it vicariously through photos and posts about how fun it is. Very interested to hear about any new or undiscovered breweries or beers you uncover.

Can't wait - got my VIP ticket. Will there be a place for those of us going VIP to meet?

    November 22, 2012

    • Bill

We'll probably put out some type of announcement closer to the date. I'll talk to Ed today about it

They can run but they can't get away from us. I'll be there. Will we have a meeting place between the VIP and regular sessions?

    November 19, 2012

    • Bill

We'll probably put out some type of announcement closer to the date. Generally the best thing to do is to download the app for Android or iPhone and one of the leaders will usually post locations and such.

Ok, I bought my ticket - VIP, session 1. But $4.50 "service" fee AND $1.79 "handling" (for print-at-home...who handles it other than me?) is annoying at best. Still looking forward, though!

i got my ticket, gen admission, session 1. looking forward to it!

I will do the VIP. I've found that first hour is very enjoyable because it's less crowded and you get to talk to the representatives from the breweries and learn more about the beer. In the past few festivals I've been to, once general admission opens the lines at each stand get a lot longer and you can't really chat with the beer people because they are pouring beers. I target the breweries I really want to visit during that first hour and then spend the next couple of hours just trying other stuff. But either way, it's a fun time.

    September 11, 2012

  • Ed W.

I will probably just do the general admission.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
