Post-work Walk: Madison Sq Park to Brooklyn Bridge Park

  • May 2, 2013 · 5:30 PM

*** Brisk 4 mile walk through the city ***

WHAT: Let's stretch our legs after work by walking from Madison Square Park to Brooklyn Bridge. We'll do a 4 mile walk at a brisk pace with few stops; it should take less than 2hrs. Consider bringing snacks/water with you.

ROUTE: Madison Sq Park --> Broadway to Union Square --> 4th Ave --> Lafayette to City Hall Park --> Brooklyn Bridge (optional)

WHEN: Thursday, May 2 @ 5:30PM (will wait for additional 15 minutes and leave promptly at 5:45).

WHERE: Madison Square Park, on the triangle with the Bird. I'll be wearing a bright red scarf so you could spot me. The N, R trains get you there (or take 4,5,6 to 23rd and walk a block, or 4,5,6, N, Q, R, L to Union Square and walk 10 min). Please be on time as we will not wait for late comers. If you can't join us at the start of the walk, there is no option of meeting up later.

Thanks, Yelena for a great walk. It was well worth the trek in from NJ! I appreciate the extra "tour" of Brooklyn Bridge Park, the stop at Jacques Torres Chocolate for the wicked hot chocolate (yum!) and your gracious escort to the Manhattan Bridge. It was great to meet you, Mike, Loren and Rob. I would definitely walk with this group again!
