Saturday: 5MI Queens Walk

WHAT: Take a casual 5-mile stroll through Crocheron Park and over the Cross Island Parkway, down the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway, past Bayside Marina, through Fort Totten, and back. Late lunch and/or drinks at Tony Roma's afterwards. They have free homemade chips and dip + awesome happy hour drink and appetizer specials all day at the bar.

LOCATION: Parking lot of Crocheron Park at 12:30 - Please be on time. Use this link for Google maps or put this address into your GPS: [masked]th Place, Bayside, Queens, NY 11361

For anyone coming from Manhattan, you can take the LIRR on the Port Washington line to the Bayside stop. Once there, you can either walk down Bell Blvd to 33rd Ave or take the Q13 bus to 33rd Ave and Bell Blvd. See this link for Google map directions: 

Alternatively, you can take the 7 train to Flushing and then take the Q13 bus which will take you to 33rd Ave and Bell Blvd and then it's a short walk to the meeting point in the park.  

MEET: Off to the side of the parking lot. Look for the group of people standing around. Call if you're confused (# below). 

TIME: The meeting time is 12:30p, but we'll wait 20 minutes for latecomers. After that, you're screwed. 

GEAR: Bring water, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, camera, snacks, etc, etc.

      Oh thats awesome. I grew up hiking in Shawangunks with my parents. Unfortunately something came up with a friends bday saturday morning, so it looks like I can't make it. Im so sorry, but I would definitely like to meet u guys and people in this group soon!
