The First Annual Thanksgiving Day Marathon!
Where: Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, New York
When: 8:00AM on Thursday, November 25
The Route: This is a trail course - Challenging, beautiful and scenic! The course is a 6.56 miles long trail loop through the woods. The trails are a well maintained mix of packed dirt, small granular rock, and crushed soft leaf surfaces. There are long flat sections, and short challenging climbs and descents, and a little technical trail conditions should be expected. If wet weather conditions exist, expect mud! The Thanksgiving Marathon is the only trail marathon inside New York City!

Awesome run today! Opted for the half-marathon. Well-organized with a great course. Hope they hold it again next year.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
