Do you understand that these are social events for experienced hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

I'm interested in short & long day hikes, winter hiking, & rock scrambling. I'm also dying to try bouldering. I want to have proficient wilderness & navigation skills and eventually want to be able to go backpacking over weekends.

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

Yes, I've been hiking for just over a year. I usually hike in NY, NJ and Pennsylvania but earlier this summer I took my first adventure holiday to Wales and did 3 guided hikes up Mt. Snowdonia.

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

I'm probably an intermediate paced hiker but I often stop to enjoy the beauty of my surroundings and take photos.

I'm an avid day hiker and try to hike and rock scramble every weekend. I'm just looking for people to enjoy the outdoors with and challenge myself both mentally & physically. I also enjoy kayaking and mountain biking but am new to those sports.
