Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

Mostly the hiking and camping overnights, though anything on the water is something I'm keen to get in on. Biking as well!

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

I've hiked Hadrian's Wall in England, walked the South West Coastal Path in Cornwall, and did a hut-to-hut hike in the Rockies last year.

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

I'd say intermediate. I don't like to go too fast; it's about the journey and not how fast I can get to the destination. So while I could go fast in places, it's not my choice to.

Love hiking and especially love biking, but am not a super duper pro with either. Happy to participate in intermediate events!

What Randee is saying about this Meetup Group

Again: The group is well organized and our organizer has things well under control. The place I went to was my first and was just beautiful; the walk was as described and the swimming hole divine!
