Have you read the About Us page, and do you agree to abide by the Rules and Guidelines posted on there? (Note the part about your picture showing your face - I will decline your membership if it doesn't)

Do you understand that these are social events for experienced hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

All! But realistically everything BUT world travel

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

I'm from Boulder, CO and have a lot of day hiking experience. Can and have done day hikes from 2 - 8 hours with moderate terrain (I can do steep incline but wouldn't want to scale a mountain :). I haven't been backpacking in a very long time so would be a beginner with gear etc. I would caveat that while I have a lot of experience hiking, I've been in ibanking for the last two years and so am not in what I would consider great hiking shape. I run and go to the gym now but haven't had a lot of opportunity historically to get out of the city (which is why I'd love to join!). I'd love to build up to more extreme hikes but want to try out some intermediate ones first.

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

Intermediate to fast - walk pretty fast.

I'm from CO and grew up doing everything outdoors (cycling, horseback riding, climbing and camping) but have been chained to a desk in NYC for the last two years. A new job with weekends free means I can start hiking / playing outside again :)
