Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

My friend Jenny told me about this group and about a hike this upcoming weekend.

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

I have some experience. I did a 2 week hike in Killarney Provincial Park with a leave-no-trace policy. I havedone a couple day hikes in the foothills of the Himalayas (see pic), and a day hike in Western Australia. Do urban treks count for anything?

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

I'd say intermediate.

I have always been interested in hiking and especially love mountains. The longest hike I done was a 2-week trek through Killarney Provincial Park in Canada. I have recently been displaced from Michigan by the inconvenience of a medical education.

What Brendan is saying about this Meetup Group

It's simple. Join if you want to hike.
