I posted several events and trips for August and September. Most of these are advanced hikes since they need to planned and trained for in advance. Intermediate hikes and beginner hikes are generally posted a week or two in advanced as the weather cooperates, so keep your eyes open.
I?m also looking for people to organize hikes, especially hikes in the 8 to 12 mile range. If you?re an experienced hiker who doesn?t mind doing head counts and carrying a bit of extra water, lets talk!Up Coming Events:

Aug 7th - Hiking and Nature?s Third Anniversary Picnic in Harriman
Aug 9th - Introduction to backpacking picnic - Andre will bring his backpacking gear, and we?ll go over what you need to start backpacking
Aug 12th - Mid week meteor watching. Only if the forecast is for clear skies, which is unlikely, but a good meteor shower is worth the effort!
Aug 21st - Tentative
- Easy Backpacking in Harriman- Probably 20 miles over two days
Aug 28th - Tentative
- Advanced hike - 15 or 20 mile training hike
Sept 4th - Advanced hike - 20 Mile Training Hike
Sept 10th - Advanced hike - The Great Range Traverse - 25 miles and 9 peaks
Oct 1st - Advanced Backpacking - Devil?s Path, Catskills.
