gov't takeover of the media, education and devaluation of the currency
It is better to avoid that word; I generally use conservative which leaves more of an opening to explain. We need to inspire people to communicate that small gov't promotes prosperity & individual choice while big gov't leads to poverty and tyranny. For people to communicate that, they need to internalize these concepts and become convinced themselves. If we could teach 3 texts they would be (1) US Constitution,(2) The Road to Serfdom by F.V Hayek, (3) Economics in One Lesson by Hazlitt. Another that is really helpful is Ameritopia by Mark Levin
I would like to gain more verbal fluency, tactics and facts to explain why I believe in small gov't. I need lots of practice in this and so far practicing on just liberals or alone, doesn't seem to be the best way to gain these skills. I need to learn how to ask more questions, be more engaging, and be more inspired to care - this will only come with a community effort rather than continuing solo.
I'm an avatar for a musician who doesn't want to lose gigs being a conservative. I'm happy to be a an American cowboy, riding free, carrying a gun, and skilled at using a lasso to herd cattle.
A warm oasis where I can find some kindred spirits in NYC! Even have an interesting discussion without hearing a parrot speaking!
