CONSTITUTIONAL ROUND TABLE

This location is shown only to members

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, January, 31. This is the first meeting of 2012 and we'll be discussing some of the Constitutional issues that should concern all Oath Keepers, in particular, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). We have invited a few "special guests" who will bring some great insight to the "TABLE" so bring your pocket Constitutions and other supportive materials. The evening begins at 7pm. More details to come.

Hello all. Any date on this yet? Given that I missed the December meetup, just want to make sure I've got my schedule cleared for this one...

    Best,
    Matt

Here's a link to the interview with Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, discussing NDAA. It's a great conversation that includes related events in our nation's history and our current state of affairs.

More info re: NDAA... ?President Obama's action today [12/31] is a blight on his legacy because he will forever be known as the president who signed indefinite detention without charge or trial into law... The statute is particularly dangerous because it has no temporal or geographic limitations, and can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield...?

GOOD NEWS re: NDAA... "Introduced in the Virginia House of Delegates is House Bill 1660 (HB1660) which 'Prevents any agency, political subdivision, employee, or member of the military of Virginia from assisting an agency or the armed forces of the United States in the investigation, prosecution, or detainment of a United States citizen in violation of the Constitution of Virginia.'?

It was a great night. The NDAA discussion was spirited and stimulating. I'm encouraged to know that so many people are well informed with this crucial issue. Also, in an age when way too many politicians are just empty suits, it's heartening to know that there are still people like Councilman Dan Halloran, who continue to support and defend our Constitution. Mr. Halloran, we got your six!

This was a great meeting. I really enjoyed listening to Dan speak and the discussions that followed. I was pleasantly surprised that there are more people in the NY area who are aware of and concerned about what is happening nationally than I expected. Looking forward to the next meeting!

The guest speaker was great, as was the lively debate that followed. It's great to see both the group growing and the energy and passion out there for the Constitutional cause. Hope to see it continue to grow and gain ever more traction amongst the general populace.
