I've always loved spicy food! In Korea I ate gojujong (don't hold me on the latinization) with every meal. In Malawi, the hot sauce produced there is a piri-piri sauce called Nali. I loved it so much I am starting a company to import it into the U.S., and give the profits to charity.
That's hard to nail down. Besides Malawi (not well known) there's India, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam, Szechuan province in China...it's really hard to choose!
I had this excellent Chinese lamb barbecue in Korea. It comes on small sticks. You roll it into a dry rub and barbecue it yourself on a rack over a small coal fire in the middle of the table. The dry rub has great spices, anise among them. That and a big Tsingtao and you are set. Also, I LOVE jerk chicken. Kimchi jjiggae is amazing too.
I'd like to try Ethiopian Wot. Or Shrimp Creole.
Beer of course! Desert afterwards is tough. Maybe cheese cake? Or lemon meringue pie!
